How it works

You write to us
An email to contact@racemeter.fr is all it takes. We reply ourselves.

You download the app
You receive an invitation code, in the form XXXX-XXXX. Enter it above: you download the Android app as an APK file, because it isn't on Google Play yet.

You install it
Open the file: Android asks you to allow installs from your browser. Accept, then tap “Install”. In the app, go to Account, “I have an invitation code”, and enter the same code.
What you need
- A phone running Android 8.0 or later. No iPhone for now.
- No unit: the beta runs in phone-only mode, the source offered at installation. Accuracy is a few metres, enough to try out the app.
- Somewhere to drive: circuit, closed track or track day. Racemeter isn't made for open roads.
- A phone mount in the car, for the live screen.
Good to know
- It's a test: there will be bugs. Tell us about them, with a screenshot if possible.
- Without an account, everything stays on your phone: runs, layouts, videos.
- The account, friends, shared layouts, leaderboards and live tandem are in closed beta, by invitation. Without an account, the app works fully.
- The unit is a prototype: it isn't available yet, and has no price or release date.
